Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Carey School, a Pre┬ČK to 5 independent school in San Mateo, California seeks an experienced educator for a second-grade homeroom position. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of classroom teaching experience. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated collaboration with colleagues, including grade level partners and assistant teachers. Candidates will also need to work closely with content specialist teachers and will have experience integrating content areas across class and content areas. In addition, the candidate will have a proven record in teaching language arts, mathematics, social studies and social emotional learning, utilizing differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students. Knowledge of elementary developmental stages in general, and second grade specifically, required. A genuine love of teaching and connecting with students, as well as open, professional and regular communication with colleagues and parents are an integral part of this role.
