University Health Services (UHS) UHS is a leader in college health. Founded in 1910 during an influenza pandemic, it is recognized for its innovative, integrated care. More than 300 people work at UHS, including 100 student staff. Medical providers also hold joint appointments within the School of Medicine and Public Health and offers a robust training program. UHS is funded through student segregated fees, general program revenue, fee-for-service billing, and grant support. The majority of UHS medical and mental health services are prepaid through segregated fees, and services are accessible to students at no additional cost.
