Since 1922, Webb has been nestled in the foothills of Claremont, California at the base of the San Gabriel Mountains. Heritage oaks and tall eucalyptus trees punctuate quiet canyons and pedestrian roadways crisscrossing the 150-acre campus. A patchwork of green spaces and expansive playing fields are edged in adobe and wood and stucco dormitories, classroom buildings, and faculty homes. The campus is home to 400 students and some 100 faculty and staff.
And just beyond the entrance to our quiet campus lies the bustling metropolis of Los Angeles. Within an hour’s drive of Webb in any direction, and on any given weekend, Webb students can be found hunting for fossils in the California desert, heading out for a day of sun and surf in Huntington Beach, or spending time in Hollywood, Santa Monica or at one of the many museums and theaters located in downtown Los Angeles.
