Job Description/Responsibilities:
The Northwest School is a college-preparatory, co-educational independent school near the heart of downtown Seattle. We offer a rich and challenging program to roughly 500 students in grades 6 through 12, including 80 international students, many of whom live in our campus dormitory. The Northwest School seeks an Assistant Director of Development who will support the mission and values of The Northwest School by leading the School’s annual fundraising efforts. Through the adept management of volunteers, coordination and execution of fundraising and community events, and running a dynamic Annual Fund; the Assistant Director of Development will be an integral part of a 5 person development team working to build a true culture of philanthropy at The Northwest School. This position works closely with the Director of Development to develop and execute strategies for all Development-related school activities.
Minimum Degree: BA
Certification Required: No
Minimum Experience: 5-7 Years

A bachelor’s degree and five years of successful development experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

Additionally, the successful candidate will have the poise and professionalism to work with a broad range of school leaders, students, alumni and their families, possess excellent written, verbal and phone communication skills and have experience with volunteer management and strategic goal-setting. The Alumni Relations Manager must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with experience building creative programs.

Computer literacy in MS Office Suite, database, social media, and online communications and discretion in handling confidential information is required.
