Job Description/Responsibilities:
Saint Martin de Porres High School, Cleveland, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Principal to be part of an innovative urban college-prep high school experience. The Principal is the chief academic officer and instructional leader of Saint Martin de Porres High School and is responsible for student learning through a well-developed curriculum executed by a trained and coached faculty. The Principal provides mission focused leadership for faculty and students and directs the day-to-day school operations in the areas of academic achievement, safety, school culture, and college readiness. The Principal provides leadership to the school community and facilitates the collaborative work between its stakeholders including, students, parents/families, faculty, staff, leadership, Board of Directors, business partners and other external community members.
 
 
Minimum Degree: Ed. M
Certification Required: Yes
Minimum Experience: 3-5 Years

 
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: • Master's degree in Education, Educational Administration or Curriculum & Instruction. • Current Ohio Administrative Credential or ability to attain certification within a reasonable period of time as determined by the President. EXPERIENCE: • 3+ years of experience in school administration or other educational leadership role. • 3+ years of experience management and evaluation of faculty and staff. REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAITS: • A practicing Catholic and able to provide a credible witness of the Catholic Faith. • Demonstrated commitment to Catholic, faith-based education. • Demonstrated ability to inspire, lead and work collegially with faculty and staff. • Demonstrated success as an instructional leader who created a positive environment for continuous school improvement. • Demonstrated ability to connect with and engage urban families. • Exemplary interpersonal skills with faculty, staff, parents, students and community members. • Evidence of an ability to analyze and utilize data to effect school improvement. • Demonstrated knowledge and competency in research and programs that seek to bring innovative, best practices to high school education. • Strong background in secondary curriculum. • Ability to work with school technology (use of academic software, Google, etc.) • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of service excellence to all customers and stakeholders. • Ability to manage multiple, complex priorities with demanding time frames. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
