The teacher will primarily support students with reading-based learning differences across all disciplines in grades 9-12, but the candidate should be comfortable working with middle school students as well. Offering a combination of small group work, individual instruction, and in-class observation and support, the Learning Resource Teacher will report to the Dean of Student Academic Affairs. While collaborating with subject teachers, students, and their families, the Learning Resource Teacher will advance the School's ongoing commitment to the success of every girl. Ideal candidates will have at least three to five years of middle/high school teaching experience and a Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education. Coupled with these credentials, the candidate will have a deep understanding of differentiated instruction, a flexible and team-oriented approach, exceptional organizational and written communication skills with attention to detail, and superior interpersonal skills, not to mention a good sense of humor. While not the primary focus, the ability to support students in Math is highly desirable. Interested candidates should send a resume and cover letter to Jo Koehler at j.koehler@holychildrye.org.
