Job Description/Responsibilities:
Rye Country Day School is seeking a full-time, twelve-month Assistant Athletic Director for Community Advancement beginning July, 2023. Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, Prek-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches. The Assistant Athletic Director for Community Advancement reports directly to the Athletic Director. Specific responsibilities of the position include: Maximizing athletic field and facility revenue through community outreach Identifying, recruiting and securing rentals of Rye Country Day School athletic facilities to programs who can pay, as well as programs who can serve as potential feeders for Rye Country Day School and the Athletics program Coordinating ongoing athletic venue rental relationships Communicating directly with rental organizations and overseeing athletic staff who will be present during rentals to ensure proper usage of Rye Country Day facilities and equipment Working with and assisting the current Rye Country Day School student-athlete parent body and Booster Club to enhance the ability of families to support Rye Country Day School athletes and Athletics Creating Athletic community engagement opportunities for prospective student-athletes as well as programs focused on attracting those who might consider attending Rye Country Day School Identifying, enhancing, securing and executing programming for younger RCDS students (PK - 4th grade) Prioritizing community building athletics opportunities with/for current families and employees at Rye Country Day School Assisting the Athletics Director with various tasks as directed

Qualifications:
Desired qualifications: 5 years of Athletics Administration in an independent school setting 5 years of coaching experience in a university or high school setting Masters Degree preferred A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish respect, credibility, and trust, and maintain productive working relationships at all levels of the organization
