Maryvale Preparatory School is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is an exempt, full time, 11-month position. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic record with experience. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics.

 

Responsibilities include:

 

       Develop game day management plans for all teams. Oversee and ensure these procedures are occurring.

o   Confirm games with other teams

o   Schedule Referees

o   Improve student/ employee attendance

o   Schedule all games and officials for each of Maryvale’s sports

o   Up the professional level of home games

o   Determines uniform needs for all teams and orders (using 2-3k budget per team on a four-year cycle)

o   Assisting in set up for home games

       Work closely with Sports Boosters

       Point of contact for live streaming of games through LocalLive

       Assist in implementing a plan for Athletic recruiting at Maryvale.

o   Be prepared to support all Maryvale athletes as they pursue college recruitment in various sports

o   Familiarize students and families with information about college recruitment; assist in hosting regular information sessions geared toward the process for each grade level

o   Communicate/collaborate with College Counseling to align programming

o   Maintain a NCAA Eligibility system and verify that all student- athletes who wish to pursue collegiate sports are in the system beginning as early as a student’s sophomore year. Collect the transcript request forms and communicate to college counseling when transcripts are needed.

o   Implement and manage a Google form for committed athletes. Share the Google form with the athletic director, college counseling, marketing and administration.

       Admissions Athletics Liaison

o   Work with coaches and admissions to recruit high level student athletes.

Salary is commensurate with experience and degree earned and ranges from $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 annually. This position is eligible for full-time benefits including personal, sick, and vacation leave benefits. Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

Required:

       A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

       Effective time management and executive function skills

       The ability to build positive relationships with students, coaches, parents, and staff.

       Experience handling intense or controversial situations with grace, discretion, and diplomacy.

Preferred:

       Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in athletics, education, health, or a closely related field strongly preferred.

       Experience scheduling, developing, planning, and implementing athletic activities and events.

       Demonstrated experience advising student clubs, athletic teams, and organizations.
