Sacramento Country Day School, the regional leader in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade independent school education since 1964, seeks a full-time Fourth-Grade Teacher to add to our excellent faculty.
This is a full-time position with benefits (100% employer paid medical, dental and vision for employee only), beginning August 16, 2025. The salary range is $52,000 to $100,000 depending on education and years of experience. Country Day School embraces the ideals of a liberal arts education. The position requires the candidate to:
- Co-plan classroom lessons with the fourth-grade partner
- Deliver daily lessons
- Supervise students during yard and car duties (dismissal)
- Conduct educational assessments
- Write quarterly report cards
- Meet with families at parent-teacher conferences and Back-to-School Night and Spring Showcase
- Communicate with families by using a bi-weekly class newsletter
- Communicate with and meet with families to discuss their child as needed
- Facilitate field trips including one overnight field trip
- Attend monthly faculty meetings
- Engage in professional development in all curricular areas, in Responsive Classroom training, etc.
- Proficient in Google Classroom is a plus
School requirements include: Background check, First Aid/CPR training (school sponsored), negative TB result.
