New Hope Academy is seeking an exemplary Christ-centered leader who walks in commitment to excellence and continued growth. The Head of School faithfully honors, upholds, and seeks to further the enduring vision and mission of the school.  The New Head of School will be rooted in the wisdom and guidance of God's Word, the humility of following Jesus, and a deep love for al of God's children. With these values, they wil effectively lead and serve al constituents of the school
community, advancing its vision and mission.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In our search for our new Head of School, New Hope Academy is seeking a Christ-centered leader with a heartfelt passion, strategic vision, resource development skills and business acumen to lead NHA and ensure its mission. The successful candidate wil be a servant-leader who is culturally competent in navigating a diverse community, firmly grounded in biblical principles, and deeply committed to integrating faith and learning. He/She wil be a spiritually mature, visionary leader, dedicated to Christ-centered education, with the experience, knowledge, and ability to articulate and implement the mission of New Hope Academy. This leader will also be skilled in developing the strategic framework necessary for the organization's success and provide the guidance needed to achieve its goals and objectives.

SPIRITUAL LEADER
• Leads and models Christ-like servant leadership with wisdom and humility while nurturing an atmosphere of
encouragement, support and transparency
• Encourages and equips faculty and staff to disciple students and integrate a biblical worldview in curriculum and instruction
• Ensures that devotions and other programming align with the school's theological identity
• Champions a biblical approach to diversity, unity, and reconciliation within the school community 
• Prioritizes prayer and spiritual formation for students, faculty, staff, and families

SETTING THE ATMOSPHERE AND CULTURE OF THE SCHOOL
• Advocates, supports, and effectively communicates the vision, mission, core values, and educational philosophy to constituents
• Engages with students and families to encourage connection to the school's mission and core values
• Promotes a culture of respectful conflict resolution grounded ni the values of reconciliation and restoration
• Fosters an atmosphere of gratitude, hospitality, and warmth, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed and valued as an essential part of the school community

PARTNERSHIP WITH THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
• Works in partnership with the Board of Trustees to hold in trust the mission of the school and manifest and refine its
strategic future
• Provides insight, feedback, and regular reporting to the Board of Trustees to ensure New Hope Academy remains
missionally aligned and strategically focused
• Nurtures and maintains good working relationships with the Board of Trustees

EDUCATIONAL LEADERSHIP
• Ensures that academic programs align with NHA's educational philosophy, mission, and vision to maintain high academic standards and fosters the development and success of al students
• Oversees ni collaboration with the Academic Directors attracting, selecting, hiring, retaining, developing, and evaluating properly qualified faculty and staff
• Coordinates with the Academic Directors, the review, evaluation, and implementation of curriculum and academic programs
• Upholds the school disciplinary policies and codes of conduct while approaching student behavior through a lens of discipleship, growth, and restoration
• Leads meaningful professional development for faculty and staff that supports growth and deepens alignment with the mission, core values, and educational philosophy
• Facilitates clear and ongoing communications with parents

OPERATIONS AND FINANCE MANAGEMENT
• Upholds fiscal responsibilities ni high regard including preparing the Annual Report and determining the Annual Budget
• Supervises the Finance Director ni the preparation of preliminary and final budgets; monitor income, expenditures, collections and cash flow; maintain appropriate financial records; oversee the employee benefit program
• Responsible for handling al matters pertaining to employment retention and dismissal of personnel to include areas of salaries, contracts, job assignments and performance evaluations
• Oversees and supports all necessary aspects of the school's operation including facilities maintenance
• Stays current with the standards and requirements of the accrediting organization, SAIS

LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS
• Leads and engages the Leadership Team, comprised of the Department Directors, in strategic planning and collaboration to ensure the school's ongoing growth and development
• Supports faculty and staff in the day-to-day operations of the school by delegating tasks, holding direct reports accountable for both successes and areas for improvement, and ensuring that the reporting structure is clearly defined, aligned, understood, and functions effectively
• Connects and communicates effectively with diverse groups and wide-ranging audiences effectively
• Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with internal and external constituents
• Develops and fosters strong relationships with key leaders and members of educational, professional, and community organizations to build awareness, support, and a broader sense of community

ADVANCEMENT OF SCHOOL MISSION
• Oversees and collaborates with the Director of Development to implement a strategic development plan that
cultivates key relationships, grows philanthropic support, and fosters lasting investment in the school
• Engages strategically with donors, foundations, and community partners to build trust, communicate impact, and
secure transformative investment in the school's long-term growth and success.
• Supervises the overall admissions process including recruitment, selection, and enrollment management
• Oversees and collaborates with the Admissions Director to develop strategic and inclusive recruitment efforts that
expand the school's reach and reflect its commitment to accessibility and socioeconomic diversity
• Oversees and collaborates with the Director of Communications to strategically articulate and amplify the school's
mission, values, and programs through both internal and external communications to deepen engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and elevate the school's presence
 
 
 
Minimum Degree: BA
Certification Required: No
Minimum Experience: 5-7 Years

 
Qualifications:
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree required. Master's or doctoral degree preferred 
• Demonstrated leadership experience for a minimum of five years
• Exceptional communication and public speaking skills
• Excellent management and administrative skills
• Financial acumen
• Demonstrated success in areas of development or fundraising preferred 
• Educational leadership experience preferred but not required
