Job Description/Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will:

Have experience teaching mathematics at the middle school level and exhibit deep content knowledge of mathematics beyond the middle school level;

Display excellent classroom management skills and enthusiasm for working with middle school students;

Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development and collaboration with colleagues;

Have a minimum of three years teaching experience;

Have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications:

Maret is looking for an inspiring and engaging middle school mathematics teacher beginning in August 2026. Candidates should be lifelong learners who reflect the school's mission and core values, have experience differentiating instructional strategies, possess strong communication skills, and exhibit a facility and nimbleness with technology. The position is supervised by the chair of the Mathematics Department and includes teaching Algebra 1 and Geometry, serving as an advisor to a group of middle school students, and fulfilling one or more community responsibilities.

 

Candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to and passion for equity, inclusion, and belonging in all facets of their work.

 

Competitive salary and benefits. Salary range is $71,000-$122,000, depending on years of teaching experience and qualifications.
