POSITION SUMMARY
Chadwick School seeks an
energizing and enthusiastic Upper School math teacher with strong content
expertise and a deep understanding of effective teaching and learning. The
ideal candidate values student-centered learning grounded in conceptual
understanding, problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and practices that make
student thinking visible and uses backward design to design purposeful,
engaging learning experiences.
This teacher will primarily work
with Upper School students and should be prepared to teach courses such as
Algebra 2 with Trigonometry through advanced levels of calculus. The ideal
candidate demonstrates the ability to teach across grades and course levels,
support diverse learners, and extend advanced students through rich,
challenging mathematical experiences.

reasoning, and clear communication. Through rich tasks, discussion, and practices
that make thinking visible, students learn to approach mathematics with
curiosity, persistence, and precision. Through this work, students are prepared
for lifelong learning as thoughtful global citizens: individuals with keen
