We aim to capture the benefits of boys and girls learning together in the same environment while also allowing for instruction to be tailored to age-appropriate differences between boys and girls.

In the youngest grades

Calvert mixes boys and girls for most classes. Students are separated into single-sex homerooms for Seventh Age through Tenth Age while still allowing students the opportunity to interact in coed developmental groups for reading and math. The Middle School employs a blend of coed and single sex environments.
