Founded in 1912, Park is a non-sectarian, independent, coeducationalday school. Eight hundred seventy five students attendfirst-year-kindergarten through grade 12. The Park School is located on a 100-acre tract of land in a suburb just north of Baltimore, Maryland.
Students at Park—from the four-year olds in kindergarten, to the youngmen and women in the Upper School—are deeply engaged in learning. Theyare alert, curious, and eager to ask questions. They offer theiropinions freely and listen and respond to the views of others. They areproud of their work and proud of their school.
Small classes (an average of 15 students) and close faculty-student relationships are integral to the Park education.
From a young age, we focus on nurturing the child's capacity forintellectual inquiry, analysis, problem solving, and independence ofthought, as well as mastery of basic skills. Debate and discussion, substantial writing and reading, questioning and experimenting arebasic modes of learning.
