St. Andrew's educates children 18 months through the 8th grade. Our enrollment for the 2018-2019 school year is 200 students. The average class size at St. Andrew is 15 students.
A strong academic program, enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, includes foreign languages, music, fine arts, athletics, and library skills. Student publications, dramatics, intramural sports, and community service round out the St. Andrew's experience. Upon graduation, St. Andrew's students have a solid academic foundation that opens doors for them at competitive independent, public, and parochial schools. A majority of our upper school students qualify to participate in the Duke University Talent Identification Program.
Small classes and caring teachers provide a challenging learning environment where children grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually. St. Andrew's encourages faith formation and moral development by providing worship services, classroom instruction and opportunities for reflection and inquiry. Our students are excited about learning and about giving to others through community service.
The St. Andrew's faculty is comprised of 28 teachers with an average of 8 years at St. Andrew's. Of our lead teachers, 65% hold graduate degrees. There is a 5:1 student/faculty ratio at the school. There are two teachers in each classroom in Pre-Kindergarten through the 3rd grade.
