Employer Description

Saint Andrew’s is an independent school for Pre-K (4 years old) through 8th grade students, located in Saratoga, CA. We are a wholehearted community of learners with a wholehearted commitment to cultivating student happiness, academic achievement, and character. Our complete, balanced, and inspiring approach to education ensures that our graduates are exceptionally good people who are exceptionally well-prepared to thrive in high school, college, and life. Founded by Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in September 1961, the school opened with single sections of Kindergarten and First Grade, then subsequent grades were added each year to Grade 8. Today the school has 360 students from over 15 communities in the San Jose / South Bay and Peninsula Area. As a Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 8 school, we provide the right amount of nurturing complemented with the appropriate amount of autonomy. Our exemplary teachers help foster those “ah ha” moments for your child be it in the arts, in science, math, writing, Spanish, or with technology. And as they mature, we put emphasis on our students being leaders. They get to be Big Buddies. They lead our Student Council. They lead musical ensembles and help design the yearbook. As a Pre-K to Grade 8 school, students also benefit from ongoing communication and collaboration among the faculty of all grade levels. The curriculum builds upon the year prior creating ten consistent years of academic preparation. We believe school should be the place where children launch an unstoppable love of learning that sticks with them through high school, college, and beyond. At Saint Andrew’s, masterful educators not only design captivating learning experiences, they ensure each child feels individually known, unconditionally loved, and deeply valued as an essential member of our warm, inclusive community.
