Between 90 and 100 upper schoolers live on campus during the week as part of the school's five-day boarding program. Faculty and Administration- The headmaster since 2018 is David J. Farace.

Campus- Founded in 1873 as a farm school for poor boys, McDonogh School is situated on nearly 800 pastoral acres in suburban Owings Mills.

Academic FacilitiesEach school is housed in its own building with a library, technology centers, science laboratories, and art facilities. Arts Facilities- The Clarence A. Burck Center for the Performing Arts includes a 580-seat theatre, a black box theatre, a scene shop, a band room, and classroom space for drama and music

Athletic Facilities- The Rollins-Luetkemeyer Athletic Center includes a multipurpose area for indoor athletics, a wrestling room, a classroom, and the Henry A. Rosenberg Jr. Aquatic Center with 50-meter, indoor pool.
- Riding facilities include a 70-stall barn, four outdoor riding rings, and the Eagle's Nest indoor riding arena.
- Outdoor facilities also include a newly-renovated baseball field, an artificial turf field, a 5,000-seat stadium, 20 tennis courts, 18 fields, and a 400-meter track.
TransportationMcDonogh operates a fleet of 24 buses daily with community stops in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Howard, and Carroll counties as well as Baltimore City.
