Employer Description

Berkeley Carroll is an elite private co-ed school for children in PreK and kindergarten through grade 12. Berkeley Carroll is one of the oldest college prep schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Lower School offers excellent aftercare programs.

_BERKELEY CARROLL HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AS A “SCHOOL OF
THE FUTURE” BY THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS.

Located in one of the preeminent neighborhoods of New York, the Park Slope section of Brooklyn, Berkeley Carroll prides itself on providing academic rigor to its 1,000 students. Berkeley Carroll’s students come from all over Brooklyn, Manhattan, all five boroughs of New York City, and Long Island.

Our buildings feature state-of-the-art libraries, laboratories, and studios. The school’s newly renovated Performance Space rivals that of many Broadway theaters. The Athletic Center is home to the high school basketball program and 75-foot pool. The pool is one of only a handful in the New York city area.

A culturally diverse body of approximately 134 full time teachers comprise the Berkeley Carroll faculty, 80 percent of whom have master’s degrees or higher. The student/faculty ratio is 7:1. Throughout the school our exceptional teachers challenge, engage, and connect with our students while instilling and nurturing a passion for learning that lasts a lifetime.
