Hackley School is a K-12 coeducational independent school located in Tarrytown, NY, approximately 40 minutes north of New York City. Our 285 acre campus overlooks the Hudson River. Description Hackley School is an independent, college-preparatory, non-sectarian, day and boarding school for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade. Founded in 1899, it became co-educational in 1970.
Accreditation New York State Association of Independent Schools Enrollment The 2008-2009 enrollment of 835 students (K-12) included 383 students in the Upper School. The Class of 2009 had 95 students.

A.P. Exams In May 2008, 181 students took 387 AP exams. 91% of the scores were a 3 or higher. All students enrolled in AP classes are required to sit for the exam.
