St. Michael’s is a K-8 co-educational community small enough (375 students and 50 faculty-staff) for adults and children to know one another, but large enough to provide exciting curricular and co-curricular opportunities. Our mission is to "provide children with superior academic instruction in an environment that acknowledges and develops Christian values." The seven values the school develops are kindness, respect, acceptance, integrity, responsibility, resilience, and compassion.
It's an exciting time to be at St. Michael's!
The school has just launched its new strategic plan; in the summer of 2018, Lower School students will join Middle School students on the
remarkable 70-acre Singleton campus, and the middle school is expanding from two sections to three.
St. Michael’s is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS) and a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). St. Michael’s values diversity as an important element of serving our mission and thus the School considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual-orientation, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status.
