The Roeper School is a nonprofit corporation governed by a 29-member Board of Trustees representing parents, staff, alumni, students and other members of the community. The School is organized into three divisions:
Lower School, ages 2 1/2 - 11;
Middle School, grades 6 - 8; and
Upper School, grades 9 -12.
The School enrolls over 530 students from Stage I through Grade 12. Students are from the greater Detroit metropolitan area, representing 60 communities in southeast Michigan, as well as a variety of ethnic, racial and economic backgrounds.
The Roeper School is a coeducational day school for gifted and talented children. Students learn in an environment which recognizes and encourages excellence and provides intellectual stimulation and challenge.
Roeper students become self-directed, independent, confident and they develop an appreciation for individual differences. The school fosters compassion, curiosity, and a sense of responsibility within the student.
