The Crefeld School is an independent, coeducational day school serving grades seven through twelve. The school’s total enrollment is approximately 100 students with class sizes averaging between seven and fifteen. Established in 1970, we are located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia on four acres that border the Wissahickon section of Fairmount Park. We graduate self-aware, empathetic, lifelong learners, who possess an appreciation for diverse perspectives, their role in society, and their ability to act as agents of change.

At The Crefeld School, we are committed to building a culture that respects and embraces diversity, equity and inclusion. We believe that these values are critical for advancing knowledge, sparking innovation, and creating sustainable, caring communities. We are committed to social justice and believe it is our responsibility to do all we can to eliminate bias and advocate for the equity, inclusion and acceptance of all people with varying identities including (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, national origin, and ability. Our appreciation for diversity, equity and inclusion is evident in our mission, our program, and our hiring and admission practices and procedures.
