Foundedin 1954, Foothill Country Day School is an independent, co-ed, K-8 day school.The school seeks to enroll capable students in a challenging program that viewsthe moral development of children as its highest endeavor.<o:p></o:p>

Weare located in Claremont, CA, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains. Weare 20 minutes due east of Pasadena, located 1 mile from the Claremont Colleges(Scripps, Pitzer, Harvey Mudd, Pomona, and Claremont McKenna). We enjoybeautiful, well-appointed facilities and strong support from an activelyengaged parent community with high expectations.<o:p></o:p>

Ourclass size averages 18, with two sections at each grade level. Facultyexperience a high degree of autonomy within a firm team experience. The schoolis grouped in divisions of K-5 and 6-8. A hallmark of the Foothill experience is simply working hard to pushoneself to achieve academically and develop more fully as a person ofintegrity.  Graduates regularly test intohonors classes at the high school level in math and foreign language.  They gain a reputation for being grounded,industrious, kind, and honorable. Foothill graduates regularly go on to the most selective universitiesand colleges across the country, affirming our belief in the role of a Foothilleducation in the future of its students.<o:p></o:p>
