St. Francis of Assisi School
St. Francis of Assisi School is proud to be Northeast Baltimore City's Catholic school. Conveniently located on Harford Road alongside Herring Run Park, St. Francis is just minutes away from workplaces such as Morgan State University and Johns Hopkins Hospital. The school is also a short walk or bike ride from many local residential neighborhoods. SFA is proud of its diverse community, with families from all backgrounds, including over 45 different countries of origin.

SFA is a parish school within the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and grades 6-8 feature the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program, a world-renowned program of academic excellence. The Pre-K program at St. Francis is recognized at Level Five, the highest rating available from Maryland EXCELS with the Maryland State Department of Education.

Drawing on the ideals of our patron saint, rooted in the neighborhoods of Northeast Baltimore, branching out to the wider world, and envisioning a future even stronger than our past, St. Francis of Assisi School forms children for a life of scholarship, spirituality, and service in the Catholic faith tradition:
- Scholarship developed through student inquiry, rigorous assessment, and dedication to lifelong learning
- Spirituality reflected in a joyful relationship with God and compassion for others
- Service creating a better and more peaceful world as students embrace cultural, ethnic, and social differences

For more than half a century, “not just a school but a way of life.”

St. Francis of Assisi School seeks to be a joyful center of the New Evangelization that promotes active and engaged learning through faith, discovery, collaboration, and service.
