As BBHS continues to live out its mission of educating students within a challenging, positive and diverse learning environment, we also continue to grow in the ways in which we work to cultivate a more diverse and inclusive school community. We recognize that we live in an increasingly global community where gender, race, age, class and ability all intersect and that we must persist in becoming more educated and aware of our responsibilities as global citizens.
We love, appreciate and celebrate diversity at BBHS through our various organizations and events, such as: International Day of Peace, Social Justice Week, Diversity Week, Black Student Union, Asian Pacific Islander Club, Diversity Club and the International Student Program.
We support our educators in their own commitment to diversity and inclusion through resources such as on-campus diversity workshops, our "Lunch and Learn" series, visiting speakers and attendance at local and national professional development conferences.
Through Catholic social teaching, we know that we are called to pursue justice and peace, and not just promote, but to live out the virtue of solidarity with all of our brothers and sisters. BBHS takes these teachings to heart and personalizes it to who we are as a school. While we recognize the work we have done thus far, we challenge ourselves to dig deeper, push past our comfort zones and take on any obstacles that may stand in the way of justice and equity for our entire Brave community.
We invite you to pray with us as we continue to make Bishop Blanchet High School a place where all members of our community feel loved, seen and celebrated.
