Commonwealth School is a small independent day school that occupies two brownstones in Boston's Back Bay. (145 students, coed, grades 9-12, 30 teachers, of whom 20 are full-time) It is known for its academic rigor,
its strong program in the arts, and its extensive use of the city of
Boston. With the help an unusually strong financial aid program, the
school attracts students from a variety of backgrounds from all over the
