Employer Description

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School of Seattle, WA is part of the national Cristo Rey Network.  Member schools use a rigorous academic model, supported by best practices in instruction and assessment, to prepare students with a broad range of intellectual abilities for college and life.  Further, CRN schools employ an innovative Corporate Work Study Program that provides students with real world work experiences.  In this highly unique model, every CRN student works an average of five days a month to fund the majority of her or his schooling, gain job experience, grow in self-confidence, and realize the relevance of this education. Students work in various corporate and business settings including law firms, banks, hospitals, universities, and with other professional organizations.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is a Catholic, college-prep, co-ed high school for students of all faiths from families of limited financial means. We help our students grow intellectually, academically, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and morally. Our aspiration is that all of our students graduate from high school and college and become leaders in our churches, institutions, businesses, nonprofits, and the community at large.

About Seattle:

Seattle is a dynamic, multicultural metropolitan area of 4 million that hosts Fortune 500 companies including CRJS partners Microsoft, Amazon, and Costco. From stunning views of the Puget Sound, city lakes, and mountains, to world-class museums, parks, pro sports teams, universities, and fresh seafood, Seattle is a place where dreams come true. Cristo Rey Jesuit Seattle fills a crucial role as an accessible option for economically-challenged families in the region.

Diversity Mission Statement
The Cristo Rey Network of high schools delivers a career focused, college preparatory education in the Catholic tradition for students with limited economic resources, uniquely integrating rigorous academic curricula with four years of professional work experience and support to and through college. We partner with educators, businesses and communities to enable students to fulfill their aspirations for a lifetime of success.
