Employer Description
 

Wolfeboro Camp School is a transformative, 5-week academic summer program located on the picturesque shores of Rust Pond in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Small class sizes, family-style meals, engaging afternoon and weekend activities, and limited screen time all contribute to our students’ sense of joy and belonging. We support students in becoming stronger, more confident, and more independent thinkers by preparing them with the skills, habits, and content that will set them up for the year ahead. And we have fun in the process.

 

We are a global community, and typically draw students from over 15 countries and 22 states. Our student body typically consists of 33% international students and 25% Students of Color. Course offerings include multiple levels of math, literature, written expression, reading, science, world languages, history, test prep, ELL, and more! The 2025 session will run from June 25 – July 30. Our individualized program is available for students entering grades 5-12. Our 3-week middle school boost program (limited space available) with run from June 25 – July 16 and is available for rising 5th-7th graders.


We have two separate staffs - teaching faculty and residential life faculty - which allows everyone to focus on their aspect of the student experience. Our teachers are experienced educators (at least 5 years in the classroom) who, on average, have been teaching with us for 15 summers. Teacher are tasked with teaching four sections during the morning academic time (8:30-12:45), serve as a co-table head in the dining hall, and supervise study hall one night a week. Our residential life staff consistents of advisors, assistant campus head, and campus heads. Our advisors are typically early-career educators and must be 21 years of age or older. Our residential life team provides supervision on campus in the mornings and evening (on a rotating basis), run activities in the afternoon, and chaperone weekend trips.
