Ms. Woods is our lead consultant, she is a pioneer in arts education and arts outreach work. Her diverse experience and extensive background make her an excellent facilitator, communicator and very efficient at assessing our clients creative needs.
Our in class literacy workshop Oration Innovation is taught in the classroom and is suitable for students in Grade 3 - Grade 12. This 60 - 90 minute in class workshop is an introduction to Literacy through the genre of Spoken Word/Poetry. Through the use of rhythms and rhyming we explore a fun way and innovative ways to explore the art of creative writing and self expression. This workshop also
- Introduces students who may not be keen on literature and writing to a new way of expressing creative writing
- Provides positive and frequent interaction, with the students taking part in the workshop
- Inadvertently leads to alleviated stress for teachers in the classroom
- Aids youth in expressing themselves in a safe positive environment which leads to better communication and socialization skills which in turn leads to better marks
